Maestro Ruben is the younger brother of Maestro Javier who is married to Maestra Anita.

Maestro Ruben is honored to be invited to join the Soltara team. He was born in 1992 in the Shipibo village of Nueva Paraiso (New Paradise), where he lives to this day. He has three boys.

Maestro Ruben drank Ayahuasca for the first time when he was 16 years old. And it wasn’t long after that when he started taking on the discipline and commitment of plant dietas on the path to becoming a Shipino curandero, Maestro Ruben has been working as a healer with patients since he was 22 years old.

Maestro Ruben’s favourite plant is Shiwawaco. He credits his dieta with that big tree as teaching him patience, giving him strength and being the first and most important teacher in instructing him on how to heal and help people.

Maestro Ruben would like Soltara’s guests to know that each person’s healing path is unique and sacred, and that he is dedicated to help and accompany guests with respect, humility and a big heart. He is guided by a desire to be of service and valuing integrity. His teachers and diet plants taught him to view each patient as a unique world and treat everybody with respect and love.
