Nathan James

Facilitator

Born and raised in New Zealand, Nathan’s passion for healing and personal transformation began through the exploration of spirituality, psychology and self-development as he navigated his own experiences with anxiety, depression, addiction and the effects of unresolved childhood trauma within himself and his family system.

What started as a personal journey gradually evolved into a lifelong commitment to inner work and service. Along the way, Nathan spent many years practicing modalities such as yoga, meditation, breathwork and energy healing throughout New Zealand, Australia and Indonesia and went on to study trauma and its effects on the nervous system, behavioural patterns, and our subconscious beliefs. His path eventually led him to Central and South America, where he was introduced to indigenous plant medicines and the Shipibo tradition — experiences that profoundly deepened his understanding of healing and our potential for personal and collective expansion.

Nathan is a certified trauma-informed practitioner and coach whose work emphasizes compassion, safety and authentic human connection. He is interested in the integration of ancient wisdom and traditional healing practices into everyday life as he believes these teachings are powerful tools for living with greater presence, purpose, and connection within the context of our modern world.

With a belief that healing is an innate human capability, Nathans intention is to help provide support to others as they remember the wisdom, strength and wholeness that already exists within them.

Nathan is deeply honoured to be of service at Soltara and to contribute to their mission, remaining devoted to his own growth and continued learning as he walks alongside others on their personal journeys.
