About This Location
The story of how we discovered The Sanctuary at Two Rivers is one of synchronicity and divine timing, reflecting the beauty of this medicine path and our ongoing commitment to providing environments where healing and growth are nurtured by the natural world and supported by experienced healers and facilitators.
From our first contact with the retreat team there, we knew this was a match. They were warm and welcoming, full of heart, and committed to supporting the transformational work that happens with plant medicine.
The Sanctuary at Two Rivers gets her name from the Center’s land beginning at the junction of two rivers. In ancient India, this was called a Sangama. This point is revered as an auspicious place to build temples and ashrams because of the positive energy that flows over, around, and through this matrix of topography. Set amongst hundreds of acres of uninhabited tropical forest, this Wildlife and Healing Retreat Sanctuary is perched above the Pacific Ocean near the quaint, artistic beach town of Montezuma at the southernmost tip of the Nicoya Peninsula. Our privately secluded property of forty acres encloses manicured tropical gardens and Jurassic jungle, making it ideal for inner and outer exploration, and highly conducive to deep medicine work.
Nestled between two rivers with waterfalls that flow year-round, our retreat space is home to countless species of flora and fauna, including exotic mammals, birds, and butterflies native to Costa Rica. Immerse yourself in a tropically mild climate with cool, refreshing breezes cascading throughout the rolling grounds.

Our eco-luxe Jungle Lofts and Studio Houses are set amongst picturesque tropical gardens with observation decks, hammocks and stunning jungle vistas. They are powered by a high-tech solar power system, have green lighting, spectacular outdoor solar hot water showers with garden views, ceiling fans, and screened-in walls giving you an up-close and intimate experience with Nature.
Private Studio House

These stand-alone eco-chic houses are designed to harmonize with the natural environment, providing a comfortable and connected experience with Nature.
Perch on a chaise lounge or hammock with a favorite book, or a pair of binoculars. Screened-in open-faced walls allow for excellent ventilation. Right outside the spacious bathroom is a tropical garden view.
This house features a large king size bed, adjustable reading lights, security safe, ceiling fan and ample shelf space.

Each of our Jungle Lofts places guests at eye level with the forest canopy and her passing monkeys, singing tropical birds, and scented floral trees. Enjoy plenty of room to perch yourself on a hammock with your favorite book, or a pair of binoculars.
Screened-in open-faced walls allow for excellent ventilation and a front-row seat to the jungle show, as do the outdoor showers with tropical garden views.
