The Role

Soltara Healing Center is seeking a creative and organized Social Media Content Creator to support our marketing team in producing engaging content that shares the beauty, stories, and educational insights from our retreats in Costa Rica.

This role will work closely with the Director of Marketing to create and edit social media content across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong video editor with an eye for storytelling and a clear understanding of how short-form content performs across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Responsibilities

• Edit short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Create social media posts across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube
• Write captions aligned with Soltara’s brand voice
• Develop compelling hooks and opening moments for short-form video
• Create YouTube thumbnails and assist with video publishing
• Post and manage Instagram and Facebook Stories
• Engage with the community through comments and interactions
• Maintain a social media content calendar (Google Sheets)
• Track post performance and prepare simple monthly social media reports
• Organize and manage social media assets including photos and video clips
• Identify and extract compelling clips from longer videos for short-form content
• Repurpose existing content into multiple pieces of social media content
• Contribute content ideas based on trends and performance insights
• Assist with uploading and formatting blog content or repurposing social content into short written pieces

Ideal Candidate

• Demonstrated track record of growing social media accounts for brands or organizations (please share examples or metrics with your application)
• Strong video editing skills for short-form content
• Experience using tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar
• Understanding of what makes short-form content perform well (hooks, pacing, trends)
• Ability to identify compelling moments from longer videos and turn them into engaging clips
• Experience writing captions and social media copy
• Strong sense of visual storytelling and design for social media
• Self-motivated, proactive, and genuinely engaged with the content you create
• Organized and able to manage multiple pieces of content each week
• Interest in wellness, personal growth, or plant medicine spaces is a plus
